At Ojibwa Indian School, we are committed to uplifting our students and empower them to reach their full potential. Our special education program provides academic, physical, social, and emotional accommodation services for students with special needs.

Our dedicated special education teachers recognize each student’s unique abilities and offer personalized support through specialized programs, including:

  • Gifted and Talented Program
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Communication Services
  • Physical Therapy
  • Support for 504 students

Identifying a student’s challenges or academic strengths early ensures they receive the tailored support and resources needed to thrive at their own pace. Students on an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or 504 Plan, as well as those in the Gifted and Talented Program, must inform the office at registration to ensure proper file requests and accommodations.

Our teachers and specialists work closely with parents and guardians to develop the best learning process for each student. We stay in close contact and constant communication with families regarding student progress and accomplishments. Tracking students’ success in our special education programs allows us to provide the appropriate comprehensive services and develop effective teaching strategies.

Family Involvement

Family Involvement in our special education programs gives children the best opportunity to succeed. Our program is created to help students overcome obstacles, avoid setbacks, maximize potential, and advance to the next level with the rest of their classmates.

Contact the school office for questions about eligibility requirements for our special education programs.
